What ingredients are present in BlueFertil Plus and how exactly do they affect the human body?

L-Glutathione is the most important antioxidant in the human body. It plays a major role in keeping other antioxidants in the active form. Supplementing glutathione can help you treat the symptoms of many diseases, including Parkinson’s disease, gastrointestinal diseases, and autism spectrum disorders. Moreover, it has anti-ageing properties. The combination of L-Glutathione, N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine (NAC), selenium, and vitamin C (all of which are present in BlueFertil Plus) provides for a powerful synergistic effect and the substances stimulate each other’s healing effects. Glutathione is often used to treat cataract, glaucoma, alcoholism, asthma, tumours, cardiovascular diseases (atherosclerosis, hypercholesterolaemia), hepatitis and liver diseases, immunodeficiency (including AIDS and chronic fatigue syndrome), memory loss, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease, musculoskeletal inflammation, heavy metal poisoning, and drug intoxication (e. g. cisplatin overdose). Glutathione plays a key role in spermatogenesis. It supports sperm motility (ability to move) and sperm morphology (shape).

Zinc is a mineral important for the outer layer of the sperm membrane and its flagellum. It increases sperm concentration and sperm count, improves sperm motility and increases levels of testosterone, which plays a crucial role in spermatogenesis. Zinc levels are reduced with each ejaculation. Active sex life and low dietary zinc intake can, therefore, lead to impotence, infertility and low sperm count. Infertile men have been shown to have lower zinc levels than healthy men.

Selenium is a powerful antioxidant with a beneficial effect on sperm production. Low levels of selenium have been associated with abnormal semen analysis results and low sperm motility. Research also suggests a possible link between low selenium levels in older parents and children with Down syndrome.

N-Acetyl L-Cysteine (NAC) is a powerful antioxidant with detoxification properties. It can be used to treat injuries, prevent cell damage and slow down the ageing process. Cysteine is a sulphur-containing, endogenous amino acid. L-Cysteine, along with glutamine and glycine, plays an important role in glutathione (powerful intracorporeal antioxidant) synthesis. It is also important for protein biosynthesis, enzyme synthesis and coenzyme synthesis. NAC is very effective in slowing viral replication, giving the immune system more time to gain upper hand over the viruses, and thus shortening the time needed to cure a disease. Another positive effect of NAC is that it can help reduce acne. Research has shown that a daily dose of 1.2 grams of NAC reduces the number of skin lesions in patients with acne by up to 50%.

Tribulus Terrestris (90% saponins) contains a large number of steroid saponins, plant sterols, flavonoids, and alkaloids. It supports spermatogenesis (production of male reproductive cells – sperm)  in men and normal intrauterine egg development in women. It also has a beneficial effect on sperm motility. The plant is often used to treat erectile dysfunctions or, even more often, low testosterone levels in men and low estrogen levels in women. Testosterone levels in men can increase by 30% after only 30 days of use. However, the scale and visibility of these effects are purely individual.

Coenzyme Q10 – besides its importance for the production of energy in the human body, it also has a significant effect on sperm quality. Coenzyme Q10 literally changes slow and “lazy” sperm into first-class swimmers and boosts their production. It is a powerful antioxidant and as such, it protects cells against free radicals (which is a great prevention of cancer and lifestyle diseases) and helps maintain natural levels of testosterone in the human body. Study participants aged 25 to 39 were instructed to take 200mg of coenzyme Q10 daily for six months. After six months, clinical measurements were performed to determine how the supplementation of coenzyme Q10 affected Q10 levels and sperm motility in the participants. The amount of coenzyme Q10 in seminal plasma was three times higher after six months. Similar progress was observed in sperm motility, which means the substance affects the production of energy needed for normal sperm motility. Besides that, sperm began to move faster and with greater accuracy, which also demonstrates the positive effects of treatment with Q10.

MACA 6:1 – Peruvian MACA is one of the ingredients with beneficial effect on sexual functions. It helps body regulate hormone levels, and thus improves potency and helps treat infertility. It can also help beat fatigue and exhaustion, and improve physical and mental performance.

Carnitine and taurine also have demonstrable effects on male fertility. These substances increase fertility, sperm motility and their quality. Additionally, taurine has a stimulating effect.

Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) has a positive effect on the nervous system, helps with stress management, exhaustion and depression, improves mood, attention span, learning performance and memory. Vitamin D3 also helps increase testosterone levels in men, improves their prostate health and erectile function. Since it can help fight bacteria and viruses, D3 is important for the proper function of the immune system as well. Additionally, the vitamin boosts the production of male sex hormones. A recent study has shown a link between D3 levels in men and the quality of their sperm. Men with higher levels of vitamin D3 had higher sperm quality. Sperm in these men moved faster and more efficiently and were even more successful in fertilization.

Rhodiola 4:1 – thanks to its beneficial effects on the central nervous system, Rhodiola is often used as an antidepressant, anxiolytic, psychostimulant and aphrodisiac. Studies have shown that the substances present in the plant improve memory and cognitive functions and have neuroprotective properties. It helps your body adapt to stressful situations and decreases the risk of hormonal changes caused by long-term stress. The plant also stimulates normal hormonal activity.

Green Tea Extract (95% Catechins) – natural bioactive substances – phenols and polyphenols – are what makes this extract so special. These chemicals include catechins, tannins, flavonoids and theaflavins. The extract used in BlueFertil Plus contains 95% polyphenols, min 70% catechins, min 45% EGCG, max 7% caffeine. Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG) is the most effective catechin present in green tea in high concentration and it is the main source of its health benefits. It has strong antioxidant properties and helps treat oxidative stress caused by free radicals. EGCG boosts the immune system and has anti-inflammatory effects. Besides that, it reduces the risk of type 2 diabetes, prevents cardiovascular diseases and improves memory and learning performance.

Muira puama has a positive effect on the production of sperm and their quality. Muira puama is a powerful antidepressant which reduces stress and restores mental well-being. It helps boost libido and maintain an erection.

Vitamin B12 is involved in cell maturation and DNA replication. Vitamin B12 deficiency in the diet is associated with a decrease in sperm count and sperm motility. B12 is therefore essential for the production of sperm.

Vitamin C is an antioxidant present in seminal plasma. It helps increase sperm count, improves sperm motility and reduces the risk of sperm deformities. It can also help reduce the amount of lead in the human body. Vitamin C supplements are said to improve sperm quality in smokers.

Vitamin E is a fat-soluble antioxidant that improves sperm condition and motility, and increases the chance of successful fertilization. It reduces the number of free radicals, which can cause damage to sperm. Vitamin E deficiency can lead to damage in reproductive tissues.

L-Carnitine plays a significant role in sperm energy metabolism. A lot of scientific studies have shown that carnitine strongly influences sperm motility, their morphology, concentration and count.

Copper reduces damage caused by free radicals and helps prevent cell damage.

Vitamin A is essential for the production of sperm.

Folic Acid – various studies suggest that folic acid, along with zinc, improves sperm quality. It is especially important for cell growth and division (haematopoiesis) and also for the proper function of the central nervous system.

Vitamin B1, Vitamin B5 (Thiamine), Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin) – these vitamins help boost energy levels and influence enzymes that affect muscles, nerves and hearth. They are involved in the production of nucleic acids and boost cell formation and fertility. B1, B5 and B2 all act synergistically (increase each other’s activity) with vitamin B3 and B6 (as well as with other B vitamins), vitamin C and vitamin A.

Vitamin B7 (Biotin) supports the activity of reproductive glands and can affect fertility.
